EL580 Scandinavian lock with electrically controlled outside handle
EL580 is a Scandinavian-standard lock for solid wooden and metal doors. It controls the outside handle electrically, with mechanical opening from the inside handle or suitable panic bar, for medium-traffic controlled openings.

Application
For offices, storage and maintenance rooms, with automatic deadlocking on closing. A split spindle is required, and handles on both sides need return springs according to the installation requirements.
Selection limits
Not for door automatics. The available sheet requires a 14 mm bolt-throw setting on fire-rated doors; do not substitute the 20 mm setting without verification. Check applicability to the actual doorset and hardware documents.
How to choose
EL582 controls both sides electrically and does not provide the same inside-opening logic as EL580. Comparison with DIN-standard EL560 must also consider Scandinavian door preparation, not voltage alone.
